Note extensive sands and mudflats in the Dee Estuary, Mersey Estuary, Morecambe Bay & Solway Firth. These show up rather better in the Channel 1 data than the false colour image of the previous page.	The Alps and Northern Italy show up well on a clear winter morning. Heard Island is an Australian territory in the Southern Ocean. It is an isolated, little visited island, discovered in the mid 19th century.
