This image was identified by Robert Moore (GEO Yahoo Group) as showing up the lakes in the English Lake District rather well [top centre].
This is probably because the pass centre line was almost directly overhead at the same time as the sun was just past the zenith.
Note also extensive sands and mudflats in the Dee Estuary, Mersey Estuary, Morecambe Bay & Solway Firth. These show up rather better in the channel 1 data.
